DAY 01: USA
We depart North America on our overnight flight to Cairo. Din- ner and breakfast will be served aloft.
DAY02: CAIRO
Upon our arrival at the Cairo airport we will be met by Lions Gate representatives who will assist us to our waiting bus for a short transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 03: CAIRO
After Your breakfast we begin our tour of Cairo. We begin with the Giza Pyramids. Admire the three vast pyramids of the kings and the several smaller pyramids that were tombs of the queens: As you stroll the sands you will encouter the Valley Temple
and the iconic Sphinx. Next, you’ll drive to Saqqara, to see the Pyramid of Djoser, probably Egypt’s oldest pyramid, enter the pyramid of Teti to see the pyramid texts, and admire the stunning reliefs in the tombs of the nobles. You’ll finish the day with a look at the remains of Egypt’s ancient capital Memphis. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 04: CAIRO
The day begins with a private tour of the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, home to one of the world’s largest collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Marvel at the treasures of King Tutankha- men, including his golden death mask, rich jewelry, and even his sandals! Continue the day with a visit to the Citadel of Saladin, the Alabaster Mosque, the Coptic Christian Hanging Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, before haggling for souvenirs at the famous Khan al-Khalili bazaar. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: TEL AVIV
After breakfast we set to cross the Sinai Desert. The Sinai Peninsula is a triangular peninsula in Egypt. It is about 23,000 sq mi in area. It is found between the Mediterranean Sea to the north, and the Red Sea to the south. It is the only part of Egyptian terri- tory located in Asia. This is because the Sinai is known as a land bridge between two continents. Upon arrival at the border we will enter Israel. Our Israeli Representatives will greet us and transfer us to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 06: TIBERIAS
After breakfast we begin our journey of the Holy Land as we trace the footsteps of Jesus. We begin with a drive along the shores
of the Mediterranean to Caesarea. is ancient city was built in honor of Caesar by Herod the Great, and was the capital of the Romans in the Holy Land for nearly 500 years. See the Crusader City its fantastic aqueduct, and the amphitheatre. We continue
on to Haifa through the Jezreel Valley. Stop at Megiddo and the elds of Armageddon. Megiddo is one of King Solomon’s “chariot cities”, and, according to scripture, the location for the last battle in history. See Gideon’s brook, and the “Well of Herod. Drive to the crest of Mt. Carmel - where Elijah’s contest with the prophets of Baal. We continue east across the Galilee region to view Mt. Tabor and visit Deboriya, the hometown of the prophetess Debo- rah located at the foothill of Mt. Tabor. We reach Tiberias and transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: CAPERNAUM/CAESAREA PHILLIPI?GOLAN HEIGHTS
There is nothing quite like witnessing a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. Although there are many places which we must admit are traditional, you can be sure that the Lord Jesus walked down these shores. After a sunrise service and breakfast, we cross the Sea of Galilee by boat to Capernaum to visit the ancient ruins of the synagogue where Jesus preached We continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes the traditional site for the “Sermon on the Mount” and to Tabgha - the chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Drives to Caesarea Philippi the site of Peter’s confession; continue to Mt. Hermon and Golan Heights where Israel share a border with Lebanon and Syria. On our way back we stop at the Jordan River where an optional Baptismal Service is possible. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 8: NAZARETH/JERICH/JERUSALEM
With an early morning departure to Cana and to Nazareth, the hometown of Jesus, we visit the Church of the Annunciation and Mary’s Fountain We continue to Bethshean, to see the most recent excavations from the Roman Era. We then head south through the Jordan Valley to ancient Jericho, where the walls came tumbling down. Enjoy a view of the Mt. of Temptation and see Elisha’s Fountain. As we drive through the Judean country our hearts filled with elation in anticipation of entering Jerusa- lem. We transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 9: JERUSALEM
We have reached the “highlight of our tour”. We begin the day with a drive to Mt. Scopus and the Mt. of Olives for the most spectacular panoramic view of the Old City of Jeru salem. We visit the Chapel of the Ascension, the Church of
Pater Noster and the Dominus Flevit. Walk along Hosanna Road to the Garden of Geth semane to visit the Church of All Nations that stands on the Rock of Agony where Jesus was betrayed by Judas. See the Pillar of Absalom, the Eastern (Golden) Gate and the Pinnacle of the Temple. We then drive to Mt. Zion where we visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu on the site of Caiaphas’ House, the Upper Room of the Last Supper and King David’s Tomb. Visit the area of the Dome of the Rock. After this we walk along the Via Dolorosa to Pilate’s Judgment Hall, the Chapel
of the Flagellation, the Ecce Homo Arch where Jesus was tried before Pilate. We then continue through the Old City bazaars to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit the Garden Tomb and Golgotha - Place of the Skull - for a worship service. Return to our hotel.
DAY 10: MASADA/EIN GEDI/QUMERAN
Today we head further south 1300ft under sea level to the Dead Sea. A beautiful new road takes us south along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada. Ascend the mountain by cable car and see the magnificent ruins of the fortress where from 70- 73 A.D Jew- ish zealots made the last stand against Romans. Return along the Dead Sea to Qumran the place where the Dead Sea Scrolls were dicovered. Visit the remains of the Community Center of the Es- senes and the Caves of the Scrolls. Drive the Jericho Road to the Inn of the Good Samaritan, then return to Jerusalem for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 11: HOME
We transfer to the airport early morning for our flight home.
